Individual Adult Therapy

You can be capable, caring, and doing everything “right” and still feel stuck, worn down, or disconnected from yourself. Many people come to therapy not because something is wrong with them, but because the old ways of doing things have stopped working.

Therapy gives you a steady, judgment-free place to slow down, understand what’s happening beneath the surface, and begin making changes that feel true to you.

How I work

I bring warmth, honesty, and some humor to our sessions. Rather than offering quick fixes, we’ll look closely at the patterns that keep you stuck and work on new ways you can live every day.

My work draws on:

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): Learning to make room for difficult thoughts and feelings, so they have less control over your choices, and moving toward what matters most to you.

  • Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT): Softening harsh self-criticism and building a kinder, steadier, more supportive relationship with yourself.

  • Insight-oriented work: Exploring where your patterns come from, including your family, your past, and the relationships that shaped you.

What we might focus on

  • Anxiety, stress, and constant worry

  • Depression and low mood

  • Perfectionism and self-criticism

  • Life transitions, such as moves, breakups, career changes, or becoming a parent

  • Relationship patterns, codependency, and family of origin

  • Finding your voice and setting boundaries

  • Grief and loss

  • PTSD and Complex trauma

What to expect

We begin with a free 15-minute phone call to see if we’re a good fit. Your first session is 50 minutes, and later sessions are 45. We’ll talk about what brought you in and what you’d like to change, then decide together how often to meet. I offer in-person sessions in Encino and virtual sessions throughout California and New York.

Therapy takes time and effort, but small, steady changes add up. If you’re ready to feel more like yourself, I invite you to reach out.
